Can’t afford the half-note Daft Punk asks for live performances? Fear not because your favorite Frenchies are bringing the glwosticks to your livingroom…and backyard, car, ipod, and wherever else you choose to get your freak on. In November they’re releasing Daft Punk Alive 2007, a live performance album recorded in Paris back in July. The album will be available in one or two discs, the double disc version including a 5 song encore and an accompanying picture book. In the meantime, practice your robot.
You asked for it and you got it. Common in a tuxedo. I hope you’re happy. Also in this clip for “Driving Me Wild” featuring Lily Allen are Jeremy Piven (new bff?), BD the great, and that superfine Lauren London. I smell a grammy nod.

Check the flicks after the click through and see if you can guess who belongs to which doll. (more »)
This is the true story of seven strangers, picked to live in a house, to see what happens when people… make art. Actually this is a really rad Aritst Residency Project brought to you by The Canal Chapter and 1134. Part 2 after the click through. (more »)

“200 Troubled Teenagers”
An exhibition of photography by Angela Boatwright and Patrick O’Dell
NY-based photographers Angela Boatwright [former Mass Appeal Photo Editor] and Patrick O’Dell turn their lenses on the new school of kids transitioning into adulthood on their own terms in their duel exhibit “200 Troubled Teenagers” While Angela’s work is comprised mainly of teenage heavy metal fans and Patrick’s attention is on young skateboarders, both artists demonstrate an intimate familiarity with their subjects and subject matter that can only result from each artist’s personal experience growing up within their respective subculture. The older generation telling their stories with the newer.
The show makes its way from NYC and LA to the Colette gallery in Paris on September 3. Both artists will be present at the opening reception.

Christiania Vodka is putting on an art contest and they want to see flesh. Tastefully, of course. Naked is “a far reaching high-profile competition search for the most compelling modern vision of the human form.” All visual mediums are welcomed except sculpture, as the winning image will end up on a billboard!
