So the good people at Flavorpill decided to host a party at the American Museum of Natural History. I know, boooring. Wrong! Check how they freaked it…First, Chicago’s Cool Kids ran through hits like, “Black Mags”, “88″, and “Pump Up the Volume”. Kid Sister followed and jumped on stage sporting some fresh fingerwaves as DJ A-trak sent a shout out to “all the planets” and blamed the mic feedback on the interference with the satellites. A couple of songs into her set, Kid Sis sounded a little winded, but explained by telling the audience to “give it up for Bronchitis.” Not letting her condition phase her, she ran right through the bass-heavy “Let Me Bang.” The show finished off with a surprise appearance from Kanye, sporting a fur coat as Kid Sister quipped, “You look like my Grandma.” The Dropout-slash-Graduate jumped on Kid sis’ “Pro Nails” and ran through some of his own hits before he was quickly led away by security (give a black man a chance!).After the performances A-trak took the wheels and did what he does best (besides wearing a hat), he kept the party moving. In addition to stellar performances and great music, I learned that Galaxies are titanic swarms of trillions of stars orbiting around a center of gravity; much more entertaining than my last trip to the museum.
