Since the 1930s, the Parker Brothers have been dealing out Monopoly boards to close knit families and aspiring real estate tycoons alike. Yet and still, the Bros came to realize that everyone doesn’t share the same fantasy and went on to manufacture dozens of themed Monopoly boards from Scooby Doo to Disney. And although the Parker Brothers may have satisfied the family friendly consumer niche, they seemingly forgot to look out for all soldiers locked down. This is where John Sebelius comes in.
Sebelius has created a prison themed board game, entitled “Don’t Drop the Soap.” Some of the game’s trials include escaping prison riots, channeling Adebisi and putting glass in the bosses’ meal, hijacking prescription medicine from the infirmy and most imporantly, avoiding slipping up in the showers, where it gets real in the penal. Handcrafted pieces for the game include a gun and a bag of coke. Although I don’t really see how a gun fits into the prison theme, the games’ main objective of making parole is much more conceivable.
