It may have taken forever to get here, but now that we’re all up in it, what better way to welcome summer, than with the blazing tales of the cocaine trade from the rakontur crew. For Cocaine Cowboys II: Hustlin With The Godmother, the focus shifts a bit from Miami to LA, but also delves deeper into the dealings of Griselda “The Godmother” Blanco. A boss’s boss, The Godmother is said to have ordered over 200 murders, and has been unaccounted for since her release in 06 after a nearly 20-year bid. With a slew of blockbusters exploding into theaters this summer, those looking to play it close to the crib should thank God for that white!

So you’ve heard the news and now you got the blues. Tell us about it. But not for too long cause we making moves. We have another banger of an issue on the way, and we’ll still be giving you ups on the web side of things so walk with us. This ain’t over by a long shot. Besides being the birthday of the legendary James Brown (The Godfather!), this Saturday May 3rd, there is another event worth celebrating. Fuse gallery plays host to Sweet City Woman, an all female art show featuring esteemed graf artist and former Mass Appeal art director, Queen Andrea. Fuse is located at 92 2nd Ave between 5th and 6th streets.

These days, Red Bull is powering a lot more than last minute cramming sessions and bachelorette parties. They’ve amasssed a pretty sick skate team, who will be putting on a demo this Saturday in Sayersville. If you make it out, tell ‘em Mass Appeal sent ya. It won’t get you (or us) anything, but at least they’ll know you’re down with the kings. Also brought to you by the most underrated little skateshop in the tri-state area, NJ Skateshop.

In some more news regarding our super sick wid it 50th issue, this weekend there’s a prime opportunity to re-up on some oh so dope Pegleg wears.

Aside from all the merchandise, there will be live DJ’s, drinks, and a customized photo booth. Photos from the event will be collected for a portrait feature on the PEGLEG NYC’s website. We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
