Killer Mike might be the smartest rapper since the Genius. And although his namesake speaks to his rhyme ability, when he speaks, you don’t think about him rhyming. Lord SHR recently sat down with the conundrum that is Killer Mike and chopped it up about a number of things. That conversation is now available in the Mass Appeal TV player to your right. Oh, and on a related note, he got joints!

With no shortage of grumblings regarding the still in-production Biggie movie, I welcome this unreleased Biggie footage with open arms.

Right after the instant classic Cocaine Cowboys came out, I remember hearing some grumblings from Rick Ross about how the movie neglected the impact of the brothas in the cocaine trade. He said he planned to make his own movie for the streets. Making good on his word, we now have M.I. Yayo. The boss takes us for a ride on the trill side of things as he documents corrupt cops, gangs wars and the biggest pushers of the 80’s and 90’s including his namesake, the real “Freeway” Rick Ross. The DVD also comes with a bonus soundtrack CD produced entirely by Street Radio. And while Cocaine Cowboys was a great film, you have to respect Ricky’s DIY attitude to set the record straight. The DVD is available now on Maybach Entertainment.

This Thursday, April 10th it goes down! We haven’t had a proper release in some months so all that built up tension is guaranteed to splash [a good time] all over everyone. That Lance Stephenson is a bad, bad man. Well, at 17 I guess he’s still a boy, but the kid dropped 27 on Holy Cross yesterday, all while having sat out the entire second quarter! Plenty of people are trying to peg him as the next Lebron James, but if you ask me he’s the real life Jesus Shuttlesworth (fine spanish girlfriend and all).
